Welcome

Principal’s Message

Welcome to Broadford Primary School. Our school is located in central Victoria, eighty-seven kilometres north of Melbourne just off the Hume Highway in the lovely town of Broadford.

I am very proud to be the Principal of such a great school. We provide a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment where every child is encouraged to believe in themselves and achieve their full potential. We have high expectations of all our students and expect excellent social and learning behaviours. Our school promotes the values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Readiness.

Our dedicated and highly competent staff work collaboratively to create stimulating classroom learning environments with a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy. We understand that each child is unique, and differentiate the curriculum to suit the needs of each and every learner.

Specialist programs include Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Physical Education and AUSLAN to stimulate and engage our students and compliment the core areas of literacy and numeracy.

We pride ourselves on the positive relationships we maintain with our school community. Parents and guardians are encouraged to take an active role in the education of their child. Our staff welcome parent involvement in the classroom and on a range of school activities.

Communication is essential as we partner with you in the education of your child. Our newsletter is published on a fortnightly basis to share student achievements and learning, reflect on school events and activities, and provide additional information about upcoming opportunities for our students. For our current parents/carers we also have a private school Facebook page and use COMPASS to enhance our communication between the school, and parents, students and staff.

If you are interested in further information, I invite you to visit our school. Please call the office to arrange a time for a personal tour. I would appreciate the opportunity to show you our wonderful school.
